The pattern design is inspired by the Eye of Saint Lucia, a Corsican lucky charm, and the island’s landscape. This charm, derived from the Rough Turbo mollusk’s shell, showcases a vibrant rust hue when freshly harvested, transitioning to muted, soft gray tones after processing. The design also reflects the blue of the Mediterranean Sea and the earthy shades of Corsica’s rugged cliffs. These colors, paired with swirling patterns reminiscent of the shell’s natural structure, create a harmonious connection to Corsica’s traditions and environment.

To align with prAna's mission of creating sustainable clothing, I selected fabrics that are either natural or recycled when artificial. The skirts are crafted from a lightweight linen made entirely of 100% cotton, offering breathability. For swimwear, I chose Recycled Nylon Spandex, which comprises 86% MIPAN® Regen Recycled Nylon and 14% Spandex. MIPAN® Regen is an innovative material made by extracting high-quality nylon yarns from reclaimed waste. This process conserves valuable resources and reduces environmental impact. It is also OEKO-TEX® 100 certified, ensuring it meets safety and sustainability standards. Lastly, the t-shirts are made from an organic cotton jersey knit, providing a comfortable and environmentally conscious option for wear.
